EENA lancia un evento unico in Europa sulle telecomunicazioni in emergenza (Giugno 2006)

Dopo le due conferenze del 2003 e 2004 tenute con un ottimo successo a Bruxelles, l'European Emergency Number Association ha lanciato un nuovo evento, denominato "The European Emergency Telecommunication Summit" (il summit Europeo sulle comunicazioni di emergenza) che si terrà nei giorni 12 E 13 Febbraio 2007, a Bruxelles.

La nuova conferenza dell'EENA, organizzata sul tema delle comunicazioni in emergenza in collaborazione con i principali attori del settore, vedrà la possibilità di promuovere, d'accordo con le istituzioni Europee e gli Stati Membri, la prima giornata Europea del 112 il giorno 11 Febbraio (11/2/2007).

La  conferenza ha come scopo quello di mettere in "rete" tutti coloro che si occupano delle telecomunicazioni di emergenza, sia relative al numero unico d'emergenza Europeo, 112, sia in senso più ampio per le emergenze di protezione civile ed ambientale, viste le recenti occasioni di soccorso per eventi extra Europei (ad esempio lo Tsunami).

Alla conferenza parteciperà anche il NENA, l'associazione Americana che opera nell'ambito della promozione e formazione degli operatori del 911, il corrispondente del 112 negli USA (le chiamate al 911 in Europa vengono indirizzate automaticamente al 112 in Europa e viceversa dai telefoni cellulari).
